So today is Brazil's Independence Day. No one is at work, and it seems most people are either in the park or having a BBQ or recovering from both of the above. The funny thing is, no one is really excited about it being Independence Day per se. It's more like Labor Day than the Fourth of July if that makes sense.
We went to the park and then for BBQ (churrasco) with Marcio's sister and her family. Every apartment in Brazil has a BBQ pit built into the wall. Apartments are more like houses here.
It's awesome! We ate chicken hearts, sausage, beef ribs and so much else.
