After a semi-harrowing journey we have arrived in Porto Alegre, Brazil! I will post some photos later. We haven't been able to leave yet because we are waiting on the cable repairman, but I can't wait to get out.
This morning, we could see lots of parrots and other tropical birds flying through the palm trees surrounding the apartment building. It's winter here, which means sunny and 70 degrees during the day today! It was a little chilly last night though. There isn't heating in the apartment (normal here), so I drank lots of hot tea and covered up with blankets. It's heaven having a home again after having a chaotic and uprooted life for the past couple weeks!
