Class today was alright. The first session was introductions, the second speaker didn't say much. Tomorrow should be much better, once we get into substantive issues.

But the most exciting and outstanding event of the day was seeing a little monkey outside. He's on the left side of the iron fence.

Now, I have seen a parakeet, elephant, camel, donkey AND monkey trolling the streets.

We were supposed to go to an art museum to see a photography exhibit with a guide who was an art history expert. This would have been incredible if the Prime Minister of an undisclosed country hadn't arranged to be there. The museum was sadly and very regrettably closed to the public. Oh well.

Instead, a group of us went back to Khan Market. We decided to adventure there using the metro subway system (newly installed for the Commonwealth Games 2010)... that was neat. We got little blue tokens, and the fare varied based on distance. And had to go through security and x-ray bag checks. At our end destination a policeman was set up with a machine gun behind sandbags at the bottom of the escalator. I guess their security is still on high alert from New Years. On the way, one man fussed at two men on the subway to get up so Dori and I could have their seats. It was really sweet.
