Defending the German Language: Signs of the Zeitgeist

What this article doesn't mention is that the Germans are so excellent at English... all their English makes sense. In France, they would put nonsense words on shops, t-shirts, graffiti, etc, because no one understands what it says. It just looks cool and interesting to them to write "Joker" on the side of building, or "Table" on a shirt. Here in Vienna, it has been slightly disappointing not to have found any similar spelling errors or ridiculous usage.
